I am a research associate of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of Harvard University. My interests span the areas of artificial intelligence, computer architecture and systems software, often starting with the algorithms and going all the way down to the lower layers of abstraction to built specialized custom chips. These days I’m interested in solving the practical challenges of deploying large-scale AI analytics on the cloud at Stochastic, a spin-off I co-founded.
I’ve worked at Samsung Electronics designing mobile processors for smartphones and also done research at Qualcomm and IBM on efficient machine learning accelerator architectures.
I grew up in Korea, Singapore and Illinois and enjoy playing sports outside of work.
